Having a good morning routine is essential to having a great start to a day. The first thing we have to examine is what is essential, since most try to cram everything or don’t even do the bare minimum.

The following are essential pieces:


Drink Water

Most of us have heard the advice of “drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day”, but when should you drink your first glass? When you get up is the best time. Drinking water immediately after waking up has it benefits, which include:

  1. Increases alertness and improves cognitive functioning.

  2. Helps your kidneys – gets rid of toxins in your body.

  3. Helps with your digestive system.

  4. Keeps the skin looking good – it will hydrate the skin and increase skin tugor as a result.


Exercise

Finding time in the morning to exercise, or to just move around is important. It wakes you up and gets you body and mind moving. It starts the day off right. Now, fitting a gym routine in the morning can be difficult or even impossible, especially if you have little ones to take to school, or if you don’t have a gym anywhere near your place. So, doing a few stretches or taking the dog around the block is a good start to your day.

This should be a no-brainer, but if you are the type to use cologne as the miracle product or are confused of even what products to buy, then please continue reading. Hygiene is important, and having a nice hot shower in the morning will definitely wake you up feeling refreshed. But, there’s more than just hoping in the shower, you should also take care of your face, including your eye region and skin, with at least the following regiment:

  1. CLEANSE – cleansers get rid of dirt, grime, and pollutants. Using a cleanser will reduce outbreaks, and give a fresher appearance.

  2. EXFOLITATE – exfoliating once a week is important to remove dead skin, and to allow new fresh younger skin to appear. It unclogs poor keeping the skin clear and further reduces acne breakouts.

    MOISTURIZE – Moisturizing your face every morning will help promote hydration, skin cell regeneration, healing, and will help counteract damaging effects from external forces and weather conditions that lead to premature wrinkles, fine lines, and in extreme cases, skin cancer.

After you’re done washing off for the morning, keep yourself smelling fresh. Your scent is a personal choice, keep in mind though, wearing something that makes you smell good is the goal, but don’t put on too much scent!

Have a healthy start to your day with a healthy meal. You shouldn’t skip this important meal because it fuels your productivity for the day. Make sure you eat a solid breakfast. If you have been skipping breakfast, then take 15 minutes out to make a nutritious meal.

SET GOALS
